The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering on PS5 topics as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company continues to plan to draw people in with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Immediate Additions
The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of horror and action."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — which makes them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
