The Chelsea star followed his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st pair of siblings to play for the national team.

Trevoh Chalobah is likely to link up with the Three Lions selection to replace unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to link up with the national side for England's final World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, although it has still not been confirmed.

The Three Lions have already qualified for next summer's competition.

Chalobah was given his first selection under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.

In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the team for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally didn't call him up for the subsequent October matches.

Tuchel has been an key presence in Chalobah's career, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.

Chalobah has featured in nearly all fixtures for Chelsea this season, with the side occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the Champions League.

Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar last week.

There are likely to be further inclusions to the squad. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has said that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) are set to pull out from the national team.
